Why is my Slack status not getting set?
Sometimes existing Slack settings or other status sync integrations can prevent Reclaim from setting your Slack status.

If you've set a custom status for certain events in Slack through your Reclaim Slack app settings, but still can't see them, you may be facing one of these issues:

  • Your existing Slack status settings may be preventing Reclaim status updates.

  • If you're using the Google Calendar sync integration, it may be overriding Reclaim's status sync.

The problem, and how to fix it

Reclaim won't override an existing Slack status that it didn't set.

Here's how to fix it:

  1. Go to your Reclaim app in Slack.

  2. Click on the Home tab at the top, then "Settings" in the top right.

  3. Check to make sure you don't have a status enabled.

  4. If you have enabled the Google Calendar Slack app, delete this integration so it does not override your settings (see if enabled by typing /gcal settings).

  5. Turn the Reclaim status sync feature off and then on again in settings (/reclaim settings) to force Reclaim to reset your Slack status.
