What are Reclaim 2.0 Tasks?
In Reclaim 2.0, Tasks have a new workflow that is centered around AI-assisted prioritization rather than automated calendar scheduling. Reclaim can now help you determine what is most relevant to work on in the current moment and then recommend those Tasks during protected focus time. Individual Task events are not scheduled onto your calendar.
How Tasks work in Reclaim 2.0
Tasks from Reclaim and supported integrations (Asana, Todoist, Google Tasks, ClickUp, Linear) are collected into a singular view. Reclaim then continuously evaluates which tasks are most relevant based on:
due dates and priorities
the current calendar event and its context
scheduling hours
memories and priorities you've given the assistant
task metadata such as title, description, project, and integration information.
Rather than creating calendar blocks for each task, Reclaim will recommend 3–5 tasks that are "Relevant Now" or flags tasks that are "At Risk."
You can even interact with the assistant conversationally — for example, asking for something lighter to work on if you’re not in the mood for a specific task.
⚠️ If you are looking for auto-scheduling and rescheduling of individual Tasks, we recommend that you use Reclaim 1.0.
Getting Things Done Mode
Now with our Getting Things Done mode, you can engage with the Chat Assistant for recommendations on which Tasks to focus on during any general work or Focus blocks. You can also have Reclaim reserve general work blocks for those Tasks.
Create a New Task
There are a few ways that you can now create Tasks in Reclaim. First, you can create it via the Chat Assistant by telling it directly. For example, Create a Task due following Monday: Follow up on 1:1. You will then see that Task in the Tasks section in the righthand sidebar.
You can also click on the + Create button next to your Account Menu:
Users can also explicitly ask the assistant to create work blocks (e.g. "block off time for my tasks next week") or use the "Get work done" action to generate focused work sessions:
If you'd like to create a new Task in Reclaim itself, you can do so by clicking on Tasks and then clicking into Reclaim Tasks:
Once in there, you will see all of your Reclaim-created Tasks. To add another one, you can click Add in the upper righthand corner. You'll also have the option to continuously create additional Tasks without leaving the page by toggling on Create another:
Upon Task creation, you can set up its Start date, Due date, duration, priority level, and any additional Notes. All of this information will help Reclaim to determine when would be the best time for you to work on it.
Log Task work
When you're ready to begin a Task or log work on it, you can click on the Play button below the Task. You will then see a timer appear above the Task as you work on it.
When you've finished time on that Task, you can click the Stop button, and you can customize it further. Either you can delete the work by clicking on the trash can, add more or less time spent on the Task with the hh:mm:ss format, continue loggint the work or mark it done, and you can also specify which calendar the Task should be scheduled onto:
Once you've configured it, Reclaim will go into its Preview Mode, and you can review any final changes added to your calendar:
Sync Tasks from project management apps
Reclaim also integrates with popular project management tools to help recommend tasks from the tools you use. That way Reclaim can help you find the best time to work on your projects, by priority, before their due dates.
