Quick introduction to Focus Time

How to enable Focus Time

  1. Enable Focus Time from the Focus Time page

  2. Choose between Proactive and Reactive mode

  3. Set a Focus Time goal using the slider and click Save

  4. Navigate to the Reclaim Planner or your calendar. Identify Focus events for this week and next.

💡 Pro tip: If you’re selected Reactive mode then it’s possible that Reclaim hasn’t created any Focus events. If this is the case then that means you already have a sufficient amount of free time on your calendar.

How to reschedule a Focus Time block based on a conflicting meeting

  1. On your calendar, find a Focus event

  2. Create a calendar event (in Google or Outlook Calendar) that conflicts with a Focus time block

  3. After ~15 seconds, verify that Reclaim has resolved the conflict and reallocated the lost Focus time during your week

How to ask Reclaim to find a different time for Focus

  1. From the Reclaim Planner, context click on a Focus Time event and select Reschedule

  2. Select the minimum amount of time from now that you want Reclaim to consider rescheduling the Focus event

  3. Verify that Reclaim has rescheduled the Focus event

FYI: Focus blocks intelligently reschedule to the next best time – adapting around higher-priority items and meetings.
