What is MCP?
MCP, or Model Context Protocol, lets AI tools work with Reclaim so you can access calendar context, find time, and take scheduling actions from the tools you already use.
Once connected, an AI tool can use Reclaim to understand your schedule, find availability, surface calendar insights, and help you take scheduling actions without requiring you to open Reclaim first.
Reclaim has dedicated AI integrations for ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor with setup guides in the AI Integration collection.
If you use another AI tool that supports MCP, you can still connect it directly to Reclaim using the Reclaim MCP server.
What can you do with Reclaim MCP?
MCP lets your AI tools work with your Reclaim schedule and calendar context in useful ways.
Common use cases include:
Prepare for meetings: Pull together calendar context, summaries, or information from past interactions before a meeting starts.
Find time: Identify availability and help schedule meetings based on your calendar and preferences.
Summarize your week: Get a high-level view of upcoming meetings, Focus Time, workload, and other commitments.
Schedule on behalf of others: Coordinate a meeting even when you aren't one of the attendees.
Review activity: Ask questions about meeting patterns, follow-ups, workload, or how your time is being spent.
You can use natural language in the AI tool you’ve connected, rather than manually navigating your calendar to complete each step.
Connecting a MCP-compatible tool to Reclaim
You can try connecting Reclaim to any AI tool or client that supports MCP.
Use the Reclaim MCP server URL: https://mcp.reclaim.ai
Authentication and setup steps can vary depending on the MCP client or platform you’re connecting.
Once connected, you can start asking the AI tool to work with your Reclaim schedule using natural language.
Reviewing changes in Preview Mode
When an AI tool proposes changes through Reclaim, you stay in control of what gets applied to your calendar.
Scheduling changes are staged in Preview Mode, where you can review the proposed updates in Reclaim before applying them.
This means you can use your AI tools to help plan and coordinate your schedule without giving up visibility into the final changes.
