Reclaim 2.0 + Zoom integration

Learn how to connect Zoom to Reclaim 2.0 to sync meeting presence, transcripts, meeting access, and buffer workflows across Zoom and your calendar.

This article refers to Reclaim 2.0 features and workflows. You can confirm your current app version in your User profile.

Connect Reclaim to Zoom to reduce distractions during calls, keep Slack status accurate, make Zoom meetings easier to join, and capture meeting context after calls.

With Zoom connected, Reclaim can detect when you enter or leave Zoom calls, automatically update or clear your Slack status, set Do Not Disturb for important calls, surface Zoom links in Planner, support post-meeting transcripts, and help prevent back-to-back Zoom meetings with buffer time.

Requirements

To connect Zoom to Reclaim 2.0, you’ll need:

  • A Reclaim account on a plan that supports the Zoom integration

  • A Zoom account you can authorize for use with Reclaim

  • Permission to approve third-party app access for your Zoom account

  • A Zoom admin or owner who can approve the Reclaim app, if app approvals are required

  • Calendar events that include Zoom meeting links, if you want Reclaim to surface join links or apply Zoom-based meeting workflows

  • Zoom recording and transcription enabled, if you want transcripts available after meetings

Note: Some Zoom functionality may depend on Zoom account settings, permissions, and whether the meeting has recording or transcription enabled.

How to set up the Reclaim Zoom integration

To connect Reclaim to Zoom:

  1. In the Reclaim app, navigate to Settings > Integrations

  2. Select Zoom

  3. Click Connect Zoom or Add Zoom

  4. Sign in to your Zoom account

  5. Review and approve the requested permissions

  6. Configure Zoom-related preferences, such as Slack status, Do Not Disturb, transcript behavior, or buffer time behavior

Once connected, Reclaim can use Zoom call activity to support status syncing, meeting focus, transcripts, and smarter calendar planning.

Note: Some Zoom workflows may depend on other connected tools. For example, Slack status updates and Do Not Disturb require Slack to also be connected to Reclaim. Transcript availability may depend on Zoom recording, transcription, and account settings.
