When enabled, Reclaim will automatically detect and add travel time to your calendar events based on the location data in those events. However, sometimes we get it wrong and fail to add travel time when you really need it. In those cases, you can still force Reclaim to add the travel time using event hashtags.
⚠️ Travel time must be enabled in your settings for the hashtag to work.
Using #needs_travel to add travel time to an event
If you want to add travel time to an event that Reclaim has failed to add travel time automatically, simply add the hashtag #needs_travel
to the title, description, or RSVP note for the event directly in Google Calendar.
When you add #needs_travel
to an event, it will block your default travel time before and after that event.
Using #flight to add flight travel time to an event
If you want to add flight travel time (2h before the flight, 1h after it) to an event and manually mark it as a flight, simply add the hashtag #flight
to the title, description, or RSVP note for the event directly in Google Calendar.
When you add #flight
to an event, it will block 2 hours before the flight and 1 hour after it. It will also categorize the event as a flight on your calendar.
Using #travel to mark an event as a travel event
If you want to categorize an event as a travel event—not to add travel time to it, but to mark the actual event as a travel event—simply add the hashtag #travel
to the title, description, or RSVP note for the event directly in Google Calendar.
When you add #travel
to an event, it will get categorized as a travel event on your calendar.
