Sometimes you don't always start a Task or Habit on time, or you want to start it early. There are convenient controls in Planner to do that.

Starting Task or Habit events early

You can start a Task or Habit event early if you want to work on it sooner. Before we dive in, let's go over a couple important details:

  • You can only start the first scheduled event for a given Task early. You cannot start Task events that aren't the first scheduled event.
  • You can only start a Habit event early if it's within the same day. You cannot start Habit events that are in past or future days.

With that in mind, starting a Task or Habit event early is easy. Simply click on the Task or Habit event, and click the "Start" button:

Once you click the "Start" button, Reclaim will automatically move the event up to now so that it starts early.

Restarting a Task or Habit event

You can restart a Task or Habit event if you didn't begin the work and want to start over. Before we dive in, let's go over a couple important details:

  • You can restart any Task or Habit event that is currently in-flight.
  • You cannot restart any Task events that are in the past. To reschedule a completed Task event, simply mark it as incomplete by unchecking the Done box.
  • You can only restart Habit events that are in the past if they are on the same day. You cannot restart Habit events that are on a past day.

To do this, click on a Task or Habit event and click the "Restart" button:

Once you hit Restart, Reclaim will automatically reschedule the Task or Habit event to the start at the current time.
